1 day agoMONTREAL With negotiations progressing the deadline for a strike against VIA Rail Canada by the 2400 members of the Unifor union has been pushed back to 4 pm. Please be advised that the union representing some 2400 VIA Rail employees issued a strike notice to take effect on July 11 2022 at 8 pm. Almost 2400 maintenance workers on-board service personnel chefs sales agents and customer service staff were set to walk off the job at midnight however Unifor announced the deadline has been extended.
